Gear Grinding

Gear components must meet high requirements for rigidity, which is achieved through heat treatment of metal parts. During heat exposure, finished parts may deform and change shape.
Gear grinding corrects these deviations and brings blanks to standard parameters. Properly performed grinding raises gear accuracy to the sixth grade.
Finish grinding of gears is a critical production stage that defines the performance of mechanisms in which the parts are used.

This operation is complex, requiring precision machines and expert knowledge. STALVIA performs finish grinding of gears up to the sixth accuracy grade with surface roughness Ra = 1.6 μm.
Properly ground parts ensure smooth operation of the gear mechanism, longer service life, higher efficiency, and increased load capacity. This significantly reduces downtime due to equipment failure, lowers repair costs, and raises productivity.
Gear grinding is a highly specialized process for machining tooth flanks, carried out on dedicated equipment by experienced specialists. The method involves two processing approaches, which are chosen by experts depending on the characteristics of the tooth profile. STALVIA’s team is prepared to handle grinding tasks of any complexity and consistently deliver accurate, high-quality results.
